The reviews and rantings of a Bibliophile living in Reykjavik, capital of Iceland.
I'm now the proud owner of a iPad. I went to AMAZON and checked out their ebook offering. My iPad has an app that converts Kindle files so the iPad can read them. I downloaded THE COMPLETE HENRY JAMES. It's a 60 book bundle (4 million words!) for a mere $2.99! I love books, but the iPad is seductive.
iPad - Me wants one! It will have to wait until the next time I visit the USA. They are so very, very expensive here that I can fly one way to the USA for the difference between the cheapest local price and the cheapest USA price I found.
My son bought the new iPad2 so he gave me his "old" iPad (less than a year old!). The original iPad (which isn't being made anymore) is selling for $399 (if you can find one). The iPad2 starts at $499. I've only been playing with it for a day, but the iPad is an amazing device! You should fly to Boston and buy one. Flights are cheap!
It's tempting, but I'm actually saving up for a DSLR camera. The iPad will have to wait, however much I may want one.
I prefer Canon cameras.
